Ingredients

  • 1 (13.25-ounce) box chocolate cake mix, of your choice, plus the ingredients called for on the box
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar caramel topping, or homemade caramel sauce
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 chocolate toffee bars, such as Heath® bars, chopped

Directions

Step 1 -Prepare the cake according to the package directions for a 9x13-inch cake, then allow it to cool completely.

Step 2 -Poke holes in the cake with a fork or a wooden skewer.

Step 3 -Pour the caramel topping over the cake.

Step 4 -Pour the condensed milk all over the cake, using just 1/2 of the can if desired.

Step 5 -In a mixing bowl, add the whipping cream and beat until soft peaks form.

Step 6 -Add the powdered sugar to the whipping cream and beat until stiff peaks form.

Step 7 -Smooth the whipped cream over the cake.

Step 8 -Sprinkle the whipped cream with the chocolate toffee pieces.

Step 9 -Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour.

Step 10 -Serve.
