Ingredients
- 1 (13.8-ounce) can refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 cups mozzarella, shredded
- 1 cup pepperoni, chopped
- jarred marinara sauce, optional, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Step 2 -Open the pizza dough and roll it out flat, about 1/4-inch-thick.
Step 3 -Sprinkle the dough with the garlic salt, the Italian seasoning, the cheese, and the pepperoni.
Step 4 -Starting at one of the long edges, roll the pizza dough up tightly to form a log.
Step 5 -Carefully wrap the log in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer until firm, about 30 minutes.
Step 6 -Lightly grease a baking sheet.
Step 7 -Transfer the log from the freezer, unwrap it, and carefully cut it into 1/2-3/4-inch-thick slices.
Step 8 -Transfer the slices to the prepared baking sheet, swirl-side up.
Step 9 -Bake until lightly brown on top, about 10-12 minutes.
Step 10 -Serve warm with the marinara sauce.
