Crack Green Beans try to make the distinctly sweet veggie as addictive as possible. It's not messing around either. Coating each emerald green bean in rich butter and savory spices would make them great already, but add a little brown sugar and succulent bacon? Well, then the party really doesn't stop! Crack Green Beans will have you loading up your plate with them in no time... who needs a main course?
Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 24 ounces fresh green beans
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a 15x10-inch rimmed baking sheet.
Step 3 -In a pan over medium heat, add the bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-8 minutes.
Step 4 -Transfer the bacon to paper towels to drain.
Step 5 -In a medium bowl, add the melted butter, the brown sugar, the soy sauce, the garlic powder, and the onion powder and whisk to combine.
Step 6 -In a large mixing bowl, add the green beans, the bacon pieces, and the sauce mixture and toss until the beans are thoroughly coated.
Step 7 -Transfer the green beans to the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out evenly.
Step 8 -Bake until the green beans are soft and tender, about 35-40 minutes.
Step 9 -Serve.
