Ingredients

  • 1 (15.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix, plus the ingredients called for on the package
  • 3 cups tart apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • whipped cream, optional, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 -Prepare the cake batter according to the package directions.

Step 4 -In a bowl, add the apples, the walnuts, the sugar, and the cinnamon and mix to combine.
